TARA | Maple Grove Service Manager

Tara has been a stylist with Simonson's Salon & Spa since November 2000. Growing up she watched her mother develop her own successful salon and that's what motivated Tara to become a second generation stylist. As a graduate from Aveda Institute with honors, she set out on a path of her own success.

Tara believes that learning something new is the best way to grow and evolve personally and professionally. This is what led her to a position as an educator for AG Hair Cosmetics in 2007. While maintaining a fabulous clientele at Simonson's, Tara traveled throughout the Midwest educating other professional stylists on hair cutting techniques, special occasion hair and product recommendations for clients. Her love of education then landed her a position within Simonson's as the Dimensional Color Educator in 2008. Attending classes herself is a must for Tara. The most recent include:

These classes have polished her skills in razor cutting men and women, short and long hair styling, and dimensional color with the focus on natural enhancement.

Tara’s educator experience prepared her for the position of Service Manager. Her goals are to empower the Maple Grove team to create a successful career for themselves and also motivate and encourage them to continue learning and grow. With the client's best interest at heart, she will set the expectation of professionalism and customer service at a superior level, which Simonson's Salon and Spa was founded upon.

KRISTEN | Anoka Salon Coordinator

Kristen joined the Simonson's team in March 2007 as a Guest Service Representative. In this position, Kristen was dedicated to delivering an unparalleled experience to each and every guest.

Kristen was offered the position of Salon Coordinator in September 2009 because of her remarkable dedication to customer service, sharp eye for detail, problem solving skills and commitment to team building. Kristen's passion for knowledge drives her motivation to mentor and lead the Anoka team.

Kristen is attending college fulltime at the Art Institute International Minnesota, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Design Management. With an indubitable desire to achieve company goals and team excellence, Kristen will utilize her education in managing creative fields to help build Simonson's business.

SUSIE | Anoka Service Manager

Susie Kadlec graduated from the Aveda Institute in 2001 and began her career as a hair stylist at the Maple Grove Simonson's Salon & Spa. Word quickly spread and soon her reputation as a gifted stylist was apparent as she became one of Simonson's most requested stylists. Susie believes that to become a brilliant stylist, you must pay close attention to the ever-changing trends in the beauty profession and remain faithfully committed to exceptional customer service.

In 2007, Susie was promoted to Service Manager at the Simonson's in Anoka. Susie's rise to top was no surprise to those who know her. Not only is she a great stylist, but she's an amazingly motivating leader too. As a mentor, she encourages her team to take full advantage of all of the advanced training Simonson's and the profession has to offer. Susie's attended many advanced training classes herself, some of which include:

Susie's bright eyes and a big smile clearly communicate her enthusiastic slant on every aspect of her life and career. Her natural blend of administrative and technical skills helps her to set high goals and inspire her team to attain and maintain success as both professionals and individuals. Success breeds pride and satisfaction and ultimately creates the ideal environment for each guest to realize their full presence.

TAMSEN | Plymouth Salon Coordinator

Tamsen began her career at Simonson's in October 2008 as a Guest Service Representative for the Plymouth location. Having excelled in guest service, she decided to pursue a management position with Simonson's and was promoted in April 2010 to Salon Coordinator.

Tamsen holds a bachelor's degree is Business Management from the University of Minnesota, Moorhead. After earning her bachelor's, she attended the Aveda Institute for Cosmetology and graduated in 2006. Tamsen's educational background coupled with her guest service experience could not be a more perfect fit for the position of Salon Coordinator.

As Salon Coordinator, Tamsen aspires to make her strong guest services team even better. Her goal is for each team member to love coming to work just as much as she does! She also aims to inspire her team to grow within Simonson's to truly reach and even surpass their full potential.

Tamsen's principal motivation in both her personal and professional life is that she simply loves making people happy.

KATIE | Plymouth Service Manager

Katie Lynde graduated from Aveda Institute in August 2003 and immediately set her sights high. Her career took off at the Simonson's Salon and Spa in Plymouth the month following her graduation. Here, she's been able to share her love of helping people feel good about how they look.

It didn't take long for Katie to excel at what she loves to do. Katie has earned multiple awards within the company making her the most sought-out stylist. In early 2009, she accepted the position that she currently holds; Service Manager.

Katie's creative expression has been consistently supported and refined by her participation in the abundant classes offered at Simonson's. One of her career highlights was participating in "Make-Over Mania"; where she orchestrated the makeover of four individual women to show off their previously unrealized beauty potential! This kind of transformation changes lives!

CASEY | Elk River Salon Coordinator

Casey joined the Simonson's Salon and Spa team in February 2007 as a Guest Service Representative while attending Anoka Ramsey Community College. While working for Simonson's part time, Casey also worked in other client service businesses, but ultimately decided that Simonson's was where she wanted to build her career.

Recognizing Casey's leadership abilities, attention to detail, and winning attitude, she was promoted to Salon Coordinator in the summer of 2008.

Casey's dedication to building relationships with employees and guests alike has helped with the transition of being a new manager.

Casey's passion for learning is ongoing. While ensuring every individual within Simonson's is completely satisfied with their experience; Casey utilizes her previous Guest Service skills as motivation for servicing the clients and team members.

With organization and motivation, Casey looks forward to helping Simonson's Salon and Spa build and grow everyday.

STEPHANIE | Elk River Service Manager

Stephanie Grimm graduated from Hastings Beauty School in 1993. She has always set high standards when it comes to working in a salon/spa setting. Over the years, she's learned that Customer Service is number one and if at first you don't succeed, try, try again!

In August 2006, Stephanie joined the team at Simonson's. She enjoys haircutting (favorites are long curly hair and multi-dimensional blondes) as well as all other coloring and texturing services. Helping people look their best - while having a wonderful experience at Simonson's - is the way Stephanie defines personal success.
