CAROLYN

CAROLYN | Anoka Salon Coordinator

Making sure everyone leaves with a smile.

Carolyn Ambrosius began at Simonson’s as a Guest Service Representative in 2008 where she greeted guests with a smile for two years. After spending some time on the West Coast, she returned to her native Minnesota and was pleased to be able to return to Simonson’s as well, saying, “It’s so good to work for a company where people actually care.” For Carolyn, keeping all the details of superior customer service at the forefront of each guest’s experience is the key to her success. Her goal is to ensure everyone leaves Simonson’s feeling good about themselves and with a genuine smile on their face.

Carolyn has extensive experience in administrative services and has a broad educational background specializing in administrative services. She completed her studies at St Cloud Technical Collage. Despite her many talents, she happens to be the lone Packers fan amid a very pro-Vikings workplace!

SUSIE

SUSIE | Anoka Service Manager

Ethical work, exceptional results, earned respect.

Susie Kadlec can’t remember a time when she didn’t want to be a stylist. With characteristic determination, she applied herself and graduated from the Aveda Institute in 2001. From the time Susie joined the Simonson’s team, she knew she found a place where she could both flourish professionally and invest herself personally. Continuing education and training reinforced her reputation for exceptional talent and customer service. She was in demand! She found working with her growing client base something that was far more gratifying than anything she had ever experienced. “My clients lift my spirits,” she says. Susie is also a leader, earning a promotion to her current position as the Service Manager in the Anoka salon in 2007 where she continues to be a motivational force.

Susie makes her home in Minneapolis and when she’s not spending time with her daughter and extended family, she loves home improvement projects and escaping to Minnesota’s legendary boundary waters.

TAMSEN

TAMSEN | Plymouth Salon Coordinator

I'm where I want to be.

Tamsen Wiger earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Minnesota State University Moorhead and graduated from the Aveda Institute where she successfully completed the cosmetology curriculum. After gaining some valuable experience in retail management, she found Simonson’s to be the perfect place for her. “I’m where I want to be,” she affirms and her natural bent toward serving others makes both staff and guests alike feel they’re in the perfect place as well. Tamsen began with Simonson’s in 2008 in reception. A short year later, she was promoted to her current position as salon coordinator, a responsibility she finds to be intensely satisfying.

Even outside of work, Tamsen is geared toward making other people’s day, investing her time in charity work. And since she’s so well-versed at cheering on the Simonson’s team, it’s no surprise that she is cheering on the Minnesota Wild whenever she can.

KATIE

KATIE | Plymouth Service Manager

Relationship building - feeling good inside and out.

Katie Lynde’s first impression of Simonson’s is one of feeling taken care of, of feeling at ease. At that pivotal moment, she knew she had found her professional home and now almost eight years later, she imparts that same feeling to every guest who walks through the door at the Plymouth salon. Both skilled and friendly, Katie started out as a stylist, quickly becoming one of Simonson’s most in-demand, garnering a number of awards along the way and drawing others in with an easy rapport that made transitioning to management smooth and natural.

Katie muses that although managing a salon can be demanding, her authentic desire to make everyone feel as good inside and out as she does, draws her inexorably back to the people that make her job so gratifying. “I feel really lucky that I get to do a job I really enjoy,” A native of Fridley, Minnesota, Katie graduated from the Aveda Institute in 2002.
