 Glabellar lines, (or frown lines) are the dynamic wrinkles between the brows caused by the contraction of the corrugator and/or procerus muscles.
Movement of these muscles can cause the skin between the brows to crease. As skin becomes less elastic over time, repeated contraction of these muscles may create lines and wrinkles.
Botox Cosmetic is injected directly into the muscles where it enters the nerve endings to block the release of acetylcholine, the chemical that causes muscles to contract. Once the muscles are at rest, skin becomes smoother. Since the procedure is non-surgical, no recovery time is needed. The simple procedure takes about 10 minutes. Results last about three months.
Other common troublesome areas that can be helped with Botox Cosmetic include horizontal forehead lines and crows feet. |

Restylane and Juvederm are safe and natural cosmetic dermal fillers that restore volume to the skin and lips. They can correct facial wrinkles and folds such as nasolabial folds (the folds running from the nose to the corners of the lips), and marionette lines (from the corners of the mouth to the jaw line). They can also restore fullness to shrinking lips and wrinkles around the mouth.
Restylane and Juvederm are smooth consistency injectable gels made of hyaluronic acid - a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. This colorless gel is injected into areas of facial tissues around the mouth and nose where moderate to severe wrinkles and folds occur to restore a smooth appearance to the face. Most side effects are mild in nature and short lasting (less than 7 days). Bruising that may occur can be covered with makeup. Results last about six months.

Like Restylane and Juvederm, Perlane is a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler. The primary differentiation between Perlane and it's hyaluronic acid-based cousins is its larger particle size. The larger particle size is best-suited for filling deeper, more prominent facial lines and folds.
