Marilyn Aase comes to Simonson's Salon & Day Spas with 14 years of industry experience. The last 10 years, Aase has been a national educator for Matrix/Logics. Her greatest strength - Color Enhancement!

Aase is responsible for developing and executing much of the service and product knowledge training for Simonson's hair department. Her coaching style emphasizes the significance of both high touch - the ability to give guests the ultimate salon experience, and high tech - procuring the technical proficiency to deliver exceptional results every time.

On Tuesdays and Fridays, you can find Marilyn at the Elk River location where she puts the very art she loves to teach into practice.

Aase had this to say about her profession:

"It is such a great feeling to see the expression of understanding on someone else's face when you are teaching them something new or different. I believe everyone has what it takes to be successful; sometimes they just need to be stretched further than they have been in the past. I know that this training system we have developed will make a real difference in the success and career of the stylists who work here."

One of the programs Aase created for Simonson's is the 'Associate Program'. After a new stylist has completed their formal education with Aase, for a period of time they have the opportunity to gain guest interaction experience by offering reduced fee services. These fees are typically 25% less than standard rates and are performed under guidance of the Stylist Director or a Level III Stylist.

There are currently two Simonson's stylists in the Associate Program who are offering reduced fee services.
