Andi's interest in the beauty industry began when she started working as a Guest Service Representative at the Maple Grove Simonson's Salon and Day Spa in 1997. Having always wanted to work in a career where she could help people and make a difference in their lives, it was clear to her that Simonson's was a place she could make that happen. She graduated from the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis in 1999 and began her career as a cosmetologist.
Because she graduated from the Aveda Institute with honors, Andi was given the opportunity to travel for six months throughout the Caribbean Islands and Central America while working as a cosmetologist, nail technician and manager on the Radisson Navigator Cruise Ship. Upon her return, she worked for Regis signature Salon in Minnetonka as a cosmetologist and assistant manager. In 2004, Andi accepted a stylist position at Simonson's in Plymouth. Andi's management experience prepared her well for her promotion to service manager in 2006.
Throughout her years as a cosmetologist, Andi has made it one of her primary objectives to stay up-to-date with current trends in the beauty industry by attending multiple hair shows in Chicago, Las Vegas, Minneapolis and by extending her training with Simonson's. Attending the Graham Webb Academy in San Diego, California was one of the highlights of her training.
Andi's passion in her daily work as a cosmetologist is doing up-do's, foiling, razor cuts, men's cuts and makeovers.
Andi's highest priority as a Service Manager at Simonson's is to set high goals for the salon professionals both as individuals and as a team. She believes that as employees demonstrate excellence in their field, they take personal pride in their work and their clients are the ultimate beneficiaries!
